On "Bandito" Robin Aigner (and friends) present a collection of roots-music ("folk") based tunes.
But she approaches these pieces with style, panache and composition that is more urban you may at first expect, more vaudeville than nashville.
Still Robin is falls under the parasol of "singer/songwriter" and that means each number is as much a tale as it is a tune. And she does tell a great story. Each line builds on the one before it to create surprisingly complex tales where dissecting one sentence from the rest would be to miss the point entirely.
