Les Paradisiers' "More Tales from the Garden" is a collection of art-damaged music that is more weird pop than rock but is really quite nice.
You can hear their influences fairly clearly on some of these songs: Throbbing Gristle ("Muñeca de Sal"), David Bowie ("Shoot the Moon"), Pere Ubu ("Ornithophilia"). Over all the album exudes an organic, slightly creepy vibe that most evokes the Swans/Angels of Light.
This album is quieter than I expected and less dark, but all for the better I think.
