"Doves Never Sleep" is not an easy recording.
It's not the sort of album you put on as background music. This is *not* ambient. It is frequently startling and demands you listen... or hide.
Wisteriax is a one woman project: Karen S. Langlie. She plays cello as mutated and molded with electronics, music box and woodenbird call. The end result isn't pop or rock, it is a strange experimental adventure, not so much "bad trip" music as music for a challenging journey.
There's only one thing I can say concisely about "Doves Never Sleep":
It is the antidote for people poisoned by the idea that cellos have to be pretty.
